Lenten Series: Migrant Faith Stories

  • Feb 27, 2024

Does it seem like sheer coincidence that Valentine’s Day and Ash Wednesday fell on the same day this year?

Both centering on love, it can be seen as an invitation to deeply ponder on this as we begin our Lenten journey.

Lovers, families, friends, colleagues – expecting a perfect love out of these human relationships can often leave us feeling disappointed, hurt or betrayed. Sometimes without us knowing, we even associate these areas of brokenness with God’s ability to love us.

However, God’s love isn’t limited; it’s limitless! We are called to remember the greatest love story ever told – Jesus Christ dying on the cross for our sins out of love for us.

This Lenten season, hear stories from our migrant brothers and sisters on the themes of sacrificial love, the cost of loving and forgiveness.

May these stories stir your heart towards the Lord, and allow you to expand your heart, despite the crosses that loving involves.
