All Souls Day

  • Oct 19, 2022

Just as Jesus died and has risen again, so through Jesus God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep; and as in Adam all die, so also in Christ will all be brought to life.”
– Cf. 1 Th 4:14; 1 Cor 15:22

Following All Saints Day on 1 Nov, Catholics celebrate All Souls Day on 2 Nov remembering and praying for all our departed loved ones especially those who are in purgatory. Purgatory is the purification of those who die in God’s grace, but still imperfectly purified, to achieve the holiness necessary to enter heaven.

In the Church, the souls of the faithful who are bonded in love meet and pray for one another. As one in the mystical body of Christ, we offer prayers in a special way for the deceased in Holy Mass.

ACMI is organising a mass on All Souls Day  (2 Nov) and we invite our migrant brothers and sisters to offer intentions for deceased loved ones and friends. Please submit your intentions via the button below and we will offer it up during the mass.
