At ACMI, we provide vocational and language courses for migrants living in Singapore to improve and expand their skillsets holistically. These courses aim to equip them with practical skills that they can apply in their everyday life or cultivate an interest that they may not have had the time to pursue previously. Through attending these courses, migrants also forge bonds with like-minded individuals, building additional pillars of support in the community.

ACADEMIC CLASSES

| English Level 1 – Learning English Basic Phonetics & Pronunciations | Basic Level Learning the basics in English phonetic concepts, such as the sounds of individual letters and simple phonetic symbols. The focus is on improving pronunciation and understanding basic sounds. * Ideal for migrants who do not know how to speak, read and understand English. |
| English Level 2 – Focus on words and forming sentences | Basic Level Discover English through daily words, greetings, signs, and basic vocabulary. Building up confidence in words and speaking. * Ideal for migrants who are trying to form sentences, understand English, knows very little of reading and writing English Assessment Test Required |
| English Level 3 – Focus on grammar and vocabulary | Intermediate Pick up skills in grammar, vocabulary, and understanding of tenses and adjectives * Ideal for migrants who has knowledge of English, reading, and a little bit of writing. English Assessment Test Required |

| Business Marketing & Entrepreneurship | Learn how to start a business, develop a plan and how to market the products to customers. | Advanced Dressmaking | Learn how to make advanced patterns on cloth and sew a blouse/dress/pants using a sewing machine. * Ideal for migrants who know how to sew a blouse and enhance their dressmaking creativity. |
| Basic Baking | Equip the students with basic baking skills and techniques in baking bread, biscuits, and basic cake decoration. * Ideal for migrants who do not know how to bake. |
| Advanced Baking | Equip the students with advanced baking skills and techniques for cake making, pastries, and cake decoration. * Ideal for migrants who have basic baking knowledge. |
| Basic Cooking | Equip the students with basic cooking skills such as steaming, boiling, pan frying, and grilling in various cuisines, such as Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc. * Ideal for migrants who do not know how to cook. |
| Advanced Cooking | Discover various cuisines from around the world: Asian, International, and Healthy Recipes. * Ideal for migrants who have basic cooking knowledge. |
The course fee for each class is $110, with an additional $12 for the school vest. Miscellaneous fees include $60 for ingredients and $6 for an apron, applicable to the cooking and baking classes.
ACMI Skills Development Refund Policy
At the discretion of ACMI, we shall refund the entire Course Fees and Miscellaneous Fees if due to unforeseen circumstances.
For refund requests, ACMI will consider the refund of the Course Fees and Miscellaneous fees based on the following:
